Product Description

PX 600 Silver Shade Instant Film is a new monochrome material for your vintage Polaroid 600 camera, featuring a special UV filtering coat that enhances black and white tones. The Silver Shade line of Impossible films yields images that range from pure black and white to deep sepia tones. As with all Impossible films, the image is light sensitive for the first 3 minutes of development and MUST BE SHIELDED from light. The film responds actively to temperature, yielding black and white images when the film is chilled, to dark brown and orange-y tones when the film is warm. All Impossible films allow for various artistic manipulation techniques. NOTE: production date stamped on package. Films do not have an expiration date.

Film must be protected from light during first 3 minutes of development
To stabilize images for the long term, preventing tonal shifts or fading, use the Impossible Dry Age Kit
8 Exposures per cassette
Film Speed: ISO 600/DIN 29
Development: approximate 3 minutes at 70 degree F (21 degree C)

This film is sort of all over the map, which I guess you might expect from a film labeled "experimental."

The Bad: You can not in all fairness call this a 600ASA film. More like 100. They will come out blank in anything less than about the brightness of dim florescents (night shots are out). The need to cover them when they come out of the camera can also lead to mishaps. And at the hefty price of about $3 a shot, those blank shots are really painful.

The Good: When these do come out, they come out amazing. Like nothing else out there. If you are looking for a unique artsy look, these are pretty fine.
Also, you can find Poleroid 600 cameras for dirt cheap on Ebay. My camera cost less than the pack of film.

I really liked this item, it was easy to order and to use as well. If your looking towards getting something that Makes your pictures look old, this is your thing. I enjoyed using it and I'm going to order some more soon :)

There is no doubt that these cartridges are awesome, almost limitless details to charge with exposure and temp. Definitely different from the original polaroid cartridges, but still a great product in their own right. I just wish they were less expensive, as the cost to experiment with them to find out what works for you is pretty steep.
